Interesting history lesson. Knew nothing of that really. The UK has never actually suffered a period of occupation. Not since the year 1066 anyway. I feel however, if we were to try to celebrate a 'UK Day' here it would be banned for fear of upsetting some minority or other. Celebrate away - and be glad that you are still able to do so. more…
